I am the author of The Stopping Places (Finishing Line Press), Desideratum (Finishing Line Press), and The Fragrance of Memory (Amsterdam Press). My poetry has been published in journals such as Kyoto Journal, Toronto Quarterly, Pennsylvania English, Pirene’s Fountain, Up the Staircase, PoetsArtists, MIPOesias, and others.
My work has appeared in the following anthologies: First Water: The Best of Pirene's Fountain (Glass Lyre Press), Sing Now, America! Anthology (Virgogray Press), and The Working Poet: 75 Writing Exercises and an Anthology (Autumn House Press), and in Not Yet Christmas: It's Time for Advent- A Daily Reader (Seedbed).
I co-authored The Christian Husband's Handbook: Constantly Pursuing the Treasure You Hold with the late Dr. Marvin Gilbert. My devotional and Christian life material have been published in Seedbed, e-Truth, ReachUP Magazine, and The URBANwell Magazine.
I hold a Ph.D. in Literature and Criticism and an MFA in Creative Writing. My dissertation title is The Construction of Mosaic Identities in Asian American and Arab American Poetry.
I teach creative writing, publishing, literary theory, and other courses at Nelson University.
